June 8 Szentgyörgyvölgy to Lenti EPW day 7

Lateish start as it was an expected shorter walk in cooler weather. Of course not......

7 days in and we are getting a bit cynical, perhaps we are just tired.

We were pleased that today was to be a 22km walk and the day was expected to be a lot cooler after the rains last night.   It wasn't and it wasn't .

Again passing through very rare villages of no people and certainly no coffee and many for sale signs. It is very sad and certainly leaves us feeling quite flat.

One highlight most certainly was slipping into Slovenia briefly and back out again. This photo  is we walkers at the border between Hungary and Slovenia

Long afternoon with more corn more wheat more overgrown paths and near the end some bright spark put down some river rocks and in another section some lovely broken terracotta for our put sore feet to walk on .

We stayed at hotel Denis in Lente which was lovely accomodation and also had great food and very cold beer. 

The saving grace for Lente town were the thermal baths at a hotel next door. 

My goodness was that a welcome relief for our poor tired limbs
