Tuesday 13th June Krapina - Zagreb EPW day12

OWoke pretty early with all those peace walkers that are actually walking today.
We are not.... We have chosen to fall off the walk momentarily and spend a couple of days in Zagreb.

Most walkers tend to have a second night in Krapina so as to allow them a day trip to Zagreb but a suggestion was made to spend some time there as it was unlikely we would see it again.

Nice morning chatting to Malissa and her daughter before catching the 8am train to Zagreb.
Managed to drop bags at the little apartment that I had organised and then headed into the old town, which is about 5 mins walk.

Wandered around, came across the Dolac markets that were just beautiful.
Loads of lovely fruit and vegetables and flowers. Open every day, so I think the plan will be to shop and eat in tomorrow night.
Up millions of steps to the upper town and rewarded with pretty spectacular views over the city.

Went to the "museum of broken relationships" , recommended by some in the previous group but we found it depressingly odd. People describing how their hearts were broken, with a momento of the occasion...

Home for a rest and out for an early dinner with our friend Ian, who has also joined us in Zagreb.
