It is said to be a tough day as the first 13 km's are through open flat farmland. We tried very hard to ensure our minds were wrapped around this prospect because we have certainly had our fill of flat, flat landscape.
I decided today that a lot of the last week or so is very reminiscent of the week on the Meseta in Spain when doing the camino de Santiago.
Anyhow, after a pretty tough morning it turned out to be a pretty nice walk. First coffee in a truck stop after the flats and lunch was a picnic of baguette, banana and happy cow cheese at the 22km mark.
